About Us

Entre Raíz Coffee is for those who refuse to choose between where they come from and where they’re going.

We were raised to stay grounded. To be humble. To not get too far ahead of ourselves.

But what happens when you want more?

When you’re building something your family didn’t have a blueprint for.
When success feels both earned and complicated.
When you’re navigating two worlds...and expected to belong fully to both.

Entre Raíz lives in that space.

It’s a reminder that ambition doesn’t erase your roots.
And staying connected doesn’t mean staying small.

You can carry both.

This is coffee for the early mornings, the late nights, and everything in between...for those doing the work of building something new without forgetting where they started.

Stay rooted. Keep building.

Entre Raíz Coffee was founded by Emmanuel (Manny) Barrera, an educator, leader, and son of Mexican immigrants from the Rio Grande Valley. The brand grew out of a feeling that doesn’t have a clean English word for it: the experience of building something new without a blueprint, while staying connected to where you come from.

It starts with a house across the street. Manny’s grandfather lived there, quiet but steady, the kind of man whose presence you don’t fully understand until it’s gone. His house smelled like coffee and something always on the stove. That smell is one of the earliest memories Manny carries from the Valley, and it’s in the DNA of this brand.

He's been living in that between ever since. Manny spent years working in schools, leading organizations, and coaching leaders navigating that same tension: ambition that feels complicated, success that feels earned and disorienting at the same time, two worlds that don’t always make room for each other. Entre Raíz was born from that lived experience — and from the belief that your roots aren’t something to outgrow. They’re something to build from.

The name says it all. Entre: between. Raíz: root. The brand lives in that in-between space, for everyone doing the work of becoming without forgetting who they already are.
